Take time for reflection.

Class VII Day of Reflection

Led by the Upper School retreat team, the Class VII Day of Reflection offers students an introductory experience of prayer, quiet reflection, group sharing, and community-building activities in their first Marymount retreat setting.

Class VIII Retreat

The Class VIII retreat concentrates on themes of self-esteem, problem-solving, and inclusion. The students are encouraged to examine their relationships with God, self, and others as they continue to build community.

Class IX Frost Valley

A Marymount tradition for almost thirty years, Class IX spends three days each September at the Frost Valley YMCA camp in the Catskill mountains. Led by members of the health and wellness department, Class IX advisors, and student retreat leaders, students enjoy team-building challenges and develop relationships with their new classmates.

Class X YSOP Retreat

The Class X retreat is an opportunity for students to reflect on the themes of empathy, social justice, and service as they participate in the Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP). Students are encouraged both to think about the connection between faith and action and to notice God’s presence in the lives of those who are poor and marginalized.

Class XI Retreat

The Class XI retreat provides students with time to reflect on their relationships with each other and with their other schoolmates as they prepare to assume the leadership of the School. The servant leadership of Jesus is the model used for reflection on their role.

Class XII Retreat

A culminating experience for Marymount students, the Class XII retreat allows seniors to reflect upon their high school experience as they see themselves in relationship to God and to others. They look to the challenges of the coming years and how they can respond as thoughtful and caring people.
