The Butler Scholar Program provides opportunities for academically gifted students with outstanding leadership potential and exemplary personal values to attend Marymount's Upper School. The program seeks to enrich its community by attracting a diverse student body from parochial schools and Catholic parishes in Manhattan, the five boroughs, and beyond.
In order to be eligible for the Butler Scholarship, students must attend a parochial school or be baptized Catholic. In addition, they must be nominated or approved by their school principal in the spring of seventh grade. As this is a highly competitive process, we advise principals to reserve this nomination for their highest achieving students. All nominations are due September 1, 2023.
Marymount's Butler Scholarship is a nominal, merit-based grant. For families seeking additional aid, please be sure to complete a TADS financial assistance application through www.tads.com by October 6, 2023.
