Celebration of Valentine’s Day and Denim Day for Zimbabwe

Students in Upper Mid will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14. Students will pick a name and give a card to their secret Valentine in advisory. Students will not bring a sweet treat for their Valentine. Instead, the school will provide a special dessert at lunch.

The Upper Mid will also participate in Denim Day on February 14 to raise money for the children of Zimbabwe to attend school. The suggested donation amount is $5.00 per student. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, students are allowed to wear appropriate pink or red socks and tops. Students may not wear ripped jeans or shorts, hoodies, crop tops, spaghetti strap shirts, tank tops, ripped jeans, hats, sweatpants, or inappropriate t-shirt messages; they may wear white or colored jeans, or leggings.
