"I have a most rare vision."
After studying A Midsummer Night's Dream in Class VIII English, students directed and staged scenes from the play. They imagined the comedy in modern settings and chose their own backdrops, props, costumes, and music. Students also wrote analytical and persuasive pieces about the play and the worthiness of its place in the curriculum. After the opportunity to discuss and perform A Midsummer Night's Dream, students came down firmly on the side of reading Shakespeare at Marymount.
