On Friday, October 17, Lower School students particpated in Fitness Day which was designed to promote lifelong fitness and healthy eating. The day kicked off by sampling green smoothies and nutritious lunch options made especially for Fitness Day by Marymount's food services department. Executive Chef William Scarangella also gave students a tour of the school kitchen and educated them on healthy eating habits. After learning more about the systems of the human body, students nurtured their body-mind connection at a yoga workshop in the Auditorium led by Class II Head Teacher and Yoga Instructor, Kristin Kassay. Finally, students tested their physical fitness as they rotated through a variety of stations including sit-ups and chin-ups. It was a fun and educational day for all involved!
