Marymount had a great turnout this year for the annual GRACEful dinner, with over 270 parents, alumnae, faculty, and students participating in important discussions about diversity and inclusion at the School. In small groups, attendees watched a
video called "Inclusion Starts with I" and a team of Upper School students led the groups in discussion of current news topics such as DACA, Charlottesville, and the transgender military ban. We explored how the eight social identifiers connected to these topics and discussed the intersectionality of these identifiers. The event was a great opportunity to increase awareness and inspire action in our community -- to, in Gandhi's words, "be the change that you wish to see in the world."
