Five Boroughs, One City
Harambee 2016 brought together the Marymount community—students, relatives, teachers, friends, and alumnae—to celebrate New York City with a theme of “Five Boroughs: One City, One Love”. Under the direction of teacher/Director of Diversity/alumna Khaliah Adams (’00), students presented historical information about landmarks of the five boroughs and stories of African-Americans who have called New York City home.

Thanks to everyone involved in this year’s event, and a special recongtion to alumnae involved in the show: the theme for the dramatic and dynamic program was the idea of Courtney Esteves (’15), the show’s logo was created by Raeanne Villongco (’13), dance performances were choreographed by Lydia Fabre and Gaby Gamble (’14), and Savvy Reuben (’11) worked on set design.
