Reunion Weekend 2016
In April, alumnae from near and far came home to Marymount for Reunion Weekend 2016. To kick off the weekend on Thursday, alumnae attended the Marymount Singers’ Spring Concert. On Friday, alumnae were treated to student-guided tours of the Vigée Le Brun and Pergamon exhibits at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. A festive cocktail reception followed, featuring a great food, conversation, and a DJ that kept guests entertained for hours!

On Saturday, after tours of the Fifth Avenue building and breakfast, a panel of inspiring seniors shared what life is like at Marymount today. Alumnae then enjoyed lunch as they caught up with their classmates and reminisced about their time at Marymount. Headmistress Concepcion Alvar acknowledged the classes ending in 1 and 6 who were celebrating special anniversaries and applauded the Classes of 2001 and 1981 for having the largest number of alumnae in attendance at Reunion. The Furthest Traveled Award was given to Satoko Tanaka-Endo ’78 and Yuko Tanaka ’85, sisters who traveled from Japan. Barbara Bricker ‘54 received the Sister Collette McManus Award, which is given annually to a person who has offered her passion, time, and talent to Marymount. The day wrapped up with a visit to the archives to view over old photos and with a special mass in the Chapel. It was a magical weekend for reconnecting with old friends and teachers in the school where it all began.
