Farm Life at Sprout Creek

Class VI students excitedly took to the great outdoors last week at Sprout Creek Farm, an educational, working dairy farm in Poughkeepsie, NY. They experienced the life of a farmer, waking at the crack of dawn to feed turkeys, collect chicken eggs, milk goats and cows, and tend to sheep. The students also learned about felting, cheese production, and honey bees. Class VI students returned to their urban homes feeling re-energized and rejuvenated, ready to start the year!
