Math Teacher (Upper School: Grades 9-12)

Marymount School of New York seeks a dynamic, flexible, and collaborative mathematics teacher to join our team. We welcome applicants with a genuine passion for mathematics who love working with young people in a school community.

Teaching responsibilities include four sections of Upper School mathematics, such as Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, and/or Calculus. As Marymount values innovation and inter-disciplinary thinking, candidates should be open to exploring applications of math in the fields of science, computing, and engineering. Full-time Upper School teachers also serve as academic advisors to approximately eight students and usually moderate at least one student club or activity.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in mathematics or in the teaching of mathematics
  • Experience teaching high school mathematics
  • Ability to differentiate and vary instructional methods
