Eric Walters received a $3000 grant from ESIP.

Support for the Youth Climate Conference

We are pleased to announce that Eric Walters, Director of STEM Education, has received a $3,000 grant from Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) to support the 2022 Youth Climate Conference. ESIP is a community of innovative thinkers and leaders around Earth science data, making this information more discoverable, accessible, and useful to researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and the public. During the ESIP Annual Meeting this summer, Mr. Walters pitched the Youth Climate Conference, which is coordinated by students in the Class XII Atmospheric Science elective. Open to high school students and educators worldwide, the Conference connects participants with climate scientists, researchers, and data scientists.  The Conference will take place on Saturday, January 9, 2022. “We are thrilled to receive support from ESIP,” Mr. Walters noted. “This is truly an investment in the scientists of tomorrow.”
