Marymount seeks educators who are committed to learning and teaching in a collaborative, dynamic environment. Faculty are expected to be active participants in the School community as well as innovative instructors in their respective classrooms. As Marymount is an Apple Distinguished School, with 1:1+ program (iPads in the N-V and MacBook Airs in VI-XII), all teachers are expected to be comfortable using educational technology daily. With the School's modified block schedule in each of its four divisions (instructional periods of 50-80 minutes in the Lower and Lower Middle Schools and 60 or 75 minutes in the Upper Middle and Upper Schools), teachers are expected to have a range of appropriate instructional practices in their repertoire and be equipped to differentiate instruction to reach a range of learning styles.

Lower School Teacher
(Gr. 2, leave replacement: April - June 2019)
Marymount School seeks an experienced teacher for a leave replacement in a Class II homeroom. The position may be as head teacher or as assistant teacher, depending upon the candidate's experience and credentials (a master's degree is required for head teachers, who also serve as mentors to an assistant teacher). At Marymount, mathematics, language arts, and social studies are taught in by the homeroom teachers. With a 1:1 iPad program, all Lower School educators are expected to be adept at using interactive technologies for lessons, activities, and assignments. Experience with Handwriting without Tears, Teacher's College Reading and Writing Workshop, Singapore Math, and Responsive Classroom a plus.

Lower School Assistant Teacher, 2019-2020 academic year (Gr. N-2)
Marymount School seeks dynamic aspiring head teachers who love working with children and have earned at least a Bachelor’s degree (not necessarily in education) and are eager to be mentored by expert teachers. Assistant Teachers need to be open to growth and interested in learning. They work directly with the homeroom teacher on all aspects of the curriculum and also accompany the students to specials classes. Experience with the Teachers College Reading and Writing Program, Handwriting Without Tears, and Singapore Math are helpful but not required. This is generally a one- to two-year position. This is an excellent way to begin your teaching career in a supportive and innovative community. 

Latin Teacher, Upper School (maternity leave)
Marymount School seeks an experienced educator for a fall 2019 maternity leave replacement to teach four levels of Upper School Latin: from Latin I through Advanced Poetry. Marymount uses the Cambridge Latin Course/reading method for levels I-III, and the advanced class is a poetry survey course. Facility with a broad range of pedagogical practices is expected, including the willingness and ability to teach with varied technological tools. Master's degree preferred. The position is full-time from September 1-December 31 and includes non-teaching responsibilities typical of independent school teachers (advisory, club moderator). 


Director of College Counseling
Marymount seeks an experienced director of college counseling to join the School's senior administration. The Director of College Counseling has overall responsibility for guiding students and parents through the successful transition to post-secondary education by establishing and maintaining successful relationships with colleges and universities across the country, being an active member of professional organizations, and having extraordinary interpersonal and organizational skills. Development Associate
Marymount seeks an experienced Development Associate to ensure the success of the current capital campaign, as well as annual fundraising initiatives and events. The Development Associate coordinates fundraising strategies and implements fundraising initiatives directed toward new donors and maintains relationships with existing donors.
