Scholastic Art & Writing Award Winners!

Marymount is thrilled to announce that many of our students have been recognized for their outstanding work by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards!

Allina A. ’21 received two Gold Keys for painting (City Corner and Peaceful Afternoon) and a Gold Key for photography (Wonder). City Corner will be exhibited at The Met from March 22 - May 27. She also won three Silver Keys for photography for The Chase, Play With Me, and Friendship.

Maeve B. ’22 won a Gold Key for her short story entitled “Daffodils.”

Alice F. ’20 won a Gold Key for painting (Self Unfinished, which will be exhibited at The Met) and a Gold Key for her screen print entitled Star Girl.

Kate G. ’20 received an honorable mention for her poem “Apple Pie.”

Helen J. ’19 won a Silver Key for her writing portfolio “Classical” and an honorable mention for her poem “To the Huntress.”

Lindsay S. ’21 received two Gold Keys for photography (Hands and Street Vendor), one Silver Key for Unexpected Animals, and one honorable mention for Disconnected. Hands will be exhibited at The Met.

Alexandra S. ’21 won a Gold Key for drawing & illustration artwork for Hearing Illusion, which will be exhibited at The Met. She also received an honorable mention for her photograph Shades of Blue.

Sanaa S. ’21 won four Gold Keys for photography for How About Orange?, Uptown Girl, Big Eyes, and Prayer Marigolds for Sale. How About Orange? will be exhibited at The Met. She also won a Silver Key for Mideast Peace, two honorable mentions for Ink and Yesterday’s News, and an honorable mention for her poem “A Letter to South Africa.”
