On behalf of the Marymount Parents' Association, I would like to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year. The Parents' Association is vibrant and active, and we do our best to provide critical support to the Marymount community. There are many fun events already on the calendar -- keep checking this website for more information on the many ways you can get involved.
All parents are PA members, and we encourage your active involvement in whatever way is convenient for you. In the coming weeks, I invite you to learn more about the PA and explore various volunteer opportunities that suit your interests and schedule. Please note that on Friday, September 21, there will be a new PA Committees Open House, which will allow you to see what opportunities and events you may want to become involved in during the school year. Come meet our committee chairs and learn about all the engaging events the PA supports here at Marymount.
Our first PA Parent Education Series will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at 8:15 a.m. at 1026 Fifth Avenue
and I hope that many of you will be able to attend.
The parent-run Safety Patrol begins on Thursday, September 6 from 3:00-4:45 p.m. Classes V and X are first up to walk. If you haven't already registered, please sign up as soon as possible.
The Christmas Fair Craft Workshops begin on September 21 at 8:15 a.m. and provide a wonderful platform to connect with friends old and new!
It was such a treat to see several familiar and some new faces at this year's summer reception in the Hamptons. It is just one of the many ways Marymount offers as an opportunity to come together as a community, and I hope you find these moments as special as I do. I look forward to seeing and meeting you throughout the school year.
President, Parents' Association
