Fall Pre-season Info
Upper School Fall 2021 sports begin during pre-season, which will be held from August 23-27 and August 30-September 2. As the CDC and Department of Health continue to ease pandemic restrictions and access to vaccines for students and adults increase, we are excited to resume important elements of our athletic program, including returning to the Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, Massachusetts, for the first week of fall pre-season (August 23-27). We will maintain certain protocols to keep all student-athletes and coaches safe. All of these plans are subject to change with updated guidance from public health and government officials.

Please note that all student-athletes attending week one of pre-season must be fully vaccinated by August 8. All vaccinated students are strongly encouraged to attend both weeks of pre-season. Unvaccinated students may attend the second week of pre-season and will be assessed by coaches then to determine proper team placement.

Fall Pre-season Week One (August 23-27)  @ The Eagle Hill School, Hardwick, Massachusetts

Tryouts for vaccinated athletes will occur during week one for all teams except Varsity Tennis. Tryouts for Varsity Tennis and for all unvaccinated athletes will occur during week two on August 30-31. Please note that not attending week one because of vaccination status does not disadvantage or preclude an athlete from making a team.

Official rosters for all sports teams will be sent the evening of August 31.

Varsity Tennis Tryouts
The Varsity Tennis team is limited to only twelve student-athletes. Tryouts will occur on August 30-31. While we encourage students interested in tennis to attend week one of pre-season if possible, please note that this does not guarantee a spot on the team.

If a student does not make the Varsity Tennis team, they will have two options:
  1. Join one of the other fall sports teams
  2. Enroll in one of the physical education classes

Volleyball Tryouts
Students not selected for the Varsity or JV team will be placed on the Intramural Skills Team (see the Athletic Handbook for more details).
