Marymount’s Lower School program inspires true joy in learning. Students engage in active learning that draws upon their curiosity, imagination, and problem-solving skills, establishing a strong academic and socioemotional foundation for their educational journey.

Our Lower Middle School program continues to foster students’ intellectual and personal growth. Students draw connections across disciplines through robust cross-curricular collaborations. With an emphasis on effective communication, students begin to find their voice and hone their skills as clear and confident speakers and writers.

Nursery - Class V Admissions Process

1. Submit Application

Click on “Apply Now.” For prospective families, select the “Create Account” link and complete the initial form. You will receive an email from Marymount with a link to complete your account and log in to begin your application. Within 48 hours of submitting your application, you will have access to your online application checklist.

For current Marymount families, log in using the email address you use to access the Marymount parent portal.

2. Schedule Parent Tour and Interview

Use your checklist to schedule a parent/guardian campus tour and interview with a member of our admissions team. Marymount requires both parents/guardians to attend the tour and interview. Applicants to Classes III-V are invited to join their parents for the tour.

All K-V tours and interviews will take place at 1026 Fifth Avenue. Optional tours of our Upper Campus at 115 East 97th Street will also be available.

3. Schedule Student Assessment

Use your checklist to schedule a time for your child’s group (N-K) or individual (I-V) assessment in-person at 1026 Fifth Avenue.

4. Request School Records

Applicants are required to submit the ISAAGNY School Report for their grade level: Nursery - Pre-K, Kindergarten - Class I, and Classes II-V. Class I-V applicants are also required to submit two years of school transcripts.

School forms are also available through your checklist. Request that your child’s current school send school records directly to admissions@marymountnyc.org.

5. Register for Our Admissions Events

Admissions events are an excellent opportunity to engage with Marymount’s faculty, students, parents, and alumnae. We recognize that attending many events during the admissions season can feel overwhelming, so please know that your attendance is always welcomed but optional. Please use your online application checklist to register for events.
