Dear Marymount Parents,
Some of us live by the phrase, "Every day is just one day closer to summer." Well, here we are! The school year came and went, and much was accomplished throughout the 2018-2019 academic year. I want to say thank you to all Marymount families for being a part of our vibrant and very active Parents' Association. There were so many successful events throughout the year that were made possible by you as both volunteers and attendees. From the Christmas Fair to the Benefit to the Book Fair, we always have so much fun supporting our community. If you are looking for a way to get involved next year, we welcome any time and energy you can offer. I met some of my closest friends here at Marymount by working on a committee or two!
I also hope you were able to make it to one of the PA Parent Education speakers this year that help us become better, more informed parents, whether it be raising resilient and strong girls, managing the implications of technology and social media in our children's lives, or just being more mindful and aware of norms and questions to ask our children.
So kudos to all the Marymount girls who rose to the challenges of the year and earned this well-deserved summer break! A special congratulations to the graduating Class of 2019 - may these girls flourish in all the directions their futures take them. Let us begin the summer break with happy times and some rejuvenating lazy days - take time to smell the sea and feel the sky. Every summer has a story; may yours be filled with sunshine, light, laughter, and meaningful time spent with friends and family.
Wishing you all a glorious summer and look forward to seeing you next September!
President, Parents' Association
