Happy Easter and happy spring! There is nothing like Central Park suddenly bursting with blooms to make me feel the optimism of new beginnings! I hope you had a refreshing break and that these last few months of the school year will be ones of continued growth and good news.
The Parents’ Association is delighted to kick off its Virtual Book Fair
this week! Hosted by New York City booksellers McNally Jackson, this book fair is sure to provide your daughters and family with wonderful new books for the summer and beyond. Our beloved LS and LMS tea towels are also available! A portion of the proceeds will support Marymount’s libraries.
I hope we can all take advantage of the increasingly good weather to organize small parents’ outings in Central Park – Marymount is so lucky to have this oasis literally at our doorstep. It has been too long since we have been able to be together face-to-face! School policy allows groups of no more than ten to gather for masked and socially-distanced walks or other outdoor meet-ups.
I would also like to take this chance to welcome all our new families to Marymount and the Parents Association! Over 100 new students are joining us next fall in Nursery-Class XII. We look forward to welcoming you to our community.
Thank you, parents, for your continued support of Marymount and adherence to our community care pledge. It is our diligence and resilience that has gotten us through over 29 weeks of in-person learning without any cases of community transmission. Please feel free to reach out to me any time with questions, concerns, or ideas you may have for our community.
Many thanks and best wishes for a wonderful spring!
