Welcome back to our returning families and a very special welcome to all our new families! I hope you had a wonderful summer and are as thrilled as we are to get back to school this September.
The past 18 months have been an unusually stressful and complicated time for everyone, but Marymount has done a wonderful job of prioritizing the health and safety of our community, as well as the academic and social-emotional needs of our children. Thanks to the dedication, perseverance, and vigilance of our entire community, Marymount students were able to enjoy a full 37 weeks of in-person learning last year. I know we are all excited for an even more robust experience this year, with the return of beloved after-school activities, sports, and local field trips.
The Parents’ Association seeks to bring our whole community together through events, small and large. I very much hope we will be able to celebrate our cherished Marymount traditions this year. While some events will continue to be virtual, we are exploring how to hold in-person gatherings as the year progresses. We will keep you posted about upcoming events and ways to participate, volunteer, and meet other families throughout the year. We have a fabulous group of PA Class Representatives who will be in touch soon about events for your grade.
As ever, please reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have for our community. I look forward to seeing you soon!
